A Bit About Me……
My first job in a gym was in high school (I was there so much, they figured they might as well hire me) and this inspired me to enroll and graduate from the Personal Fitness Trainer program at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Along the way, I’ve completed many different certifications and continuing education workshops with the following organizations:
National Strength & Conditioning Assoc.
Post Natal Specialist Certification (Jessie Mundell – JMG Fitness)
Alberta Fitness Leadrship Certification Assoc.
Aerobics & Fitness Assoc. of America
Les Mills, Zumba, Nike and more.
As a trainer and group exercise instructor for more than 20 years, there’s no denying it’s my passion teaching women (especially moms) that we don’t have to restrict, limit or deny ourselves foods we enjoy. We also don’t have to workout 2 hours a day, every day to see results.
I can’t even tell you how it makes me feel when I hear a woman say:
“I can’t/shouldn’t eat that”
“I need to lose weight”
“I don’t have time but I really want to workout”
“I need to get into shape before I start going to the gym”
You know why I get so upset hearing those things? Because I’ve been there. I’ve said most of those things. I’ve felt those emotions. And it was a struggle. Still is some days! But I realized that if I can’t take care of myself; who will?
I want to share those lessons and my experiences with you.
My promise to you is that I will provide a relationship free of judgement so that you can feel confident and empowered. I will continue to educate myself and stay creative so that you not only see results, but you have FUN! I bring enough energy for the both of us, so even on your worst days, we will get work done!
Every woman has the right to live life without guilt from food and most of all, feel confident about who they are as a whole and not just about how they look. As a woman and a mom, we need to take ownership of who we are and how we live our life so that we can inspire our family and friends to do the same.
